Liturgy of the Hours

The Liturgy of the Hours — also called the Divine Office — is the public prayer of the Church, sanctifying the day through psalms, hymns, scripture, and intercession.

Clergy and religious are bound to its daily recitation; the lay faithful are warmly invited to share, even if only one hour each day.
